EARN A GOOD TURN PATCH

Celebrate Good Turn Days and earn a patch by doing the following:

Collect gently used items and take them to the Greer Goodwill.

You may donate your items in 2 large shopping bags or 4 plastic grocery bags.

When dropping off the bags you must identify yourself as a Girl Scout contributing to the "Good Turn" Campaign and sign the Donor Log with your name, Girl Scout Troop#48 and number of bags. Your donation will then be credited to the Girl Scouts of SC-Moutains to Midlands "Good Turn" Days Collection Drive. Some Goodwill attendants may be unaware of the program; if so, please follow the same instructions.

Donations must be made prior to November 30.

If you participate in this, please let me know so that I can get the patch requests sent in.

WELCOME BACK TROOP 48

1st Meeting - November 7th

It was good to see everyone at our first meeting. This year of Daisy Girl Scouting, our Scouts will take a journey through the Daisy Flower Garden. The girls will encounter stories and characters that will enhance their knowledge of the Girl Scout Law.

At todays meeting, the girls learned the Girl Scout Handshake and Friendship Circle. They read chapter 1 of the Daisy Flower Garden and then played the Garden Critter game. The girls really enjoyed acting out the different animals that I found "while walking through the garden".

For their activity, the girls made flower bookmarks that they can use in their journey books.
