Courageous and Strong
At this meeting the girls made Valentines that we will send to kids that are in the hospital. We also discussed what it means to be courageous and strong. The girls named their fears. Some were afraid of the dark, some were afraid of dogs, and others were afraid of bugs and snakes. We also went over how to call 911 in case of emergency. We went around the circle to see if each girl knew their address. Some of the girls didn't know their street address, or they may have been too shy and didn't want to say. As a reminder, please check with your child to make sure they will know the information should they need to call 911 some day. We also talked about what we could do to be strong. We had exercise activities in which the girls performed some strength tests and played with a hula hoop. That was a lot of fun. We also had a "healthy" snack of grapes, carrots, and bananas. The girls earned their red petal.
In addition to our meeting, some of you may have noticed a couple new faces. We would like to say "Welcome" to our newest Scout addition: Amy and her mom, Mia Hughey.
Thank you Heidi and Gabi for our wonderful snack!
