MEETING DECEMBER 5, 2009

At today's meeting, the girls decorated a gift bag. (We will be using the bags to hold the presents that we make at our next meeting.) In the friendship circle, we read chapter 2 of the Daisy Flower Garden. In this chapter, the 3 girls find a old box buried in the garden. Inside the box is a letter from Juliette Gordon Low stating how special that particular garden is. I'm sure the girls will soon be learning just how special.

We also sang some songs. One was Froggie and the other was Boom Chicka Boom. The girls had lots of fun with those.

We ended the meeting by planting our mini garden. The girls planted cilantro, parsley and basil. This will be a troop project to stress the importance of working together. At each meeting, the girls will take turns watering the garden and taking care of it.
