MEETING APRIL 10, 2010

The girls finished reading chapter 4 of the Daisy Flower Garden. They learned that there are several important things that a garden needs to grow:worms, bees, and lady bugs. They also made a Girl Scout Law Bracelet to help them continue to learn the law. For their efforts, they earned the Amazing Daisy award for their garden patch. We also played a game of Fruit Basket and made bird feeders with pine cones and peanut butter.

The girls also told what they did to "Think Green" during the month of March. Some of the things were reused plastic bags, recycled soda cans, and turned lights off when not being used. For this, the girls earned a Think Green Fun Patch.

It was decided at this meeting that the scouts wish to go to Riverbank Zoo with their cookie profit. We hope to get all the details get worked out and visit the zoo late May.
